Because Pilates and Yoga are gentle exercises without a lot of bouncing around or muscular stress, it's recommended to those seeking rehabilitation through physical therapy. It's also considered a good workout for the elderly and overweight because there's no jumping or lifting involved. Those afflicted with arthritis also appreciate Pilates as it helps to reduce stiffness in the muscles. Since it promotes good posture, it assists in the prevention of osteoporosis. Pilates is perfect for helping women regain their shape after pregnancy as it especially provides results in the abdominal area.

Pilates is a series of exercises designed to improve flexibility and strength through a variety of stretching and balancing movements. Pilates can be exhausting. Sometimes it makes life simple if we describes the results of the program rather than what you have to do to get those results. So, here is what Pilates can do for you:

  • flatten your stomach
  • tighten your buttocks and thighs
  • alignment - make your taller
  • help you sleep better
  • improve bone density
  • improve cholesterol levels and blood preasure readings
  • tone and tighten every muscle in the body from the inside out so you can get really strong without adding bulk

The benefits of yoga vary depending on the precise type of yoga practiced. At one extreme it can be an almost entirely spiritual affair and a way of life. At the other it can be a purely physical form of exercise. The physical benefits include improving blood supply to all parts of the body, increasing flexibility by stretching muscles, and relieving some of the pressure on bones caused by poor posture and lengthy periods of sitting at a desk.

The classes at Ultimate Fitness are small in size. Yatska will provide plenty of guidance and instruction to help you achieve the results you desire.
